John Edwards Is My Hero

Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 06:48:12 AM PDT

And this is why.

He led on the issues and (IMHO) he best communicated our party's values.
The media brownout was just too much to deal with, but I truly hope that our party will embrace the bold progressive populism that Edwards embodies.

For months now I have known that there was something truly special about the Edwards campaign that made supporting him more than worth the swim upstream.

I could not be prouder of the campaign John Edwards ran.  I'm an Edwards Democrat for life.  The Edwards family has my deepest thanks for making their campaign about what really matters.

That is all.

Lawrence O' Donnell is a Loser

Sat Jan 12, 2008 at 06:16:57 PM PDT

Yep, it sounds just as stupid when I say it about him as when he said it about John Edwards.

Public Financing Would RUIN Edwards In A General Election!!!

Thu Dec 13, 2007 at 07:44:18 PM PDT

Swear to God it would.  And I KNOW!!! FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: My dear friend DL just recommended that I add more excalamation points, so I have.

INSIDE JOB!!!

Wed Dec 12, 2007 at 02:33:26 PM PDT

We are all witnessing an "inside job".

The Clinton campaign is being destroyed... by their own awe-inspiring arrogance, and desperate, vile attacks.

I'm sure most of you know what I am talking about.  It's been diaried already, and this is more about the Clinton campaign's self-inflicted wounds than just the latest, pathetic incident.

It's Time To Admit That Edwards Is The Most Electable

Sat Nov 24, 2007 at 04:44:30 PM PDT

For a while now I've been writing about why I think it is clear that John Edwards is the most electable Democrat.  11 months of generally consistent polling has passed, and arguing with this point is now bordering on absurd.

I think it's clear that he leads on the issues as well, but I'll save that for another day.  This diary is an answer to those who constantly try to spin diaries about Edwards' electability.  It's also about why I feel so strongly that nominating Senator Edwards is clearly the best choice for the future of the Democratic party, and why I am so convinced that nominating Senator Clinton would be an unmitigated disaster.

I had to write this really fast, so I apologize for any typos.  I won't  be sticking around for the comments.  It's my 26th birthday, and of course I'm spending it with my family. Hence the reckless typing.

Edwards Crushes Republicans In Ohio

Wed Nov 14, 2007 at 12:04:57 PM PDT

I'm in a real hurry, so I apologize for any typos or mistakes.  I just wanted to make sure everybody had seen the recent general election polling out of Ohio.

Edwards Crushes Republicans In General Election Polling

Wed Oct 31, 2007 at 04:44:18 PM PDT

I'm in a hurry, but I wanted to share with everyone the newest 10 week average of national general election polling that included all 3 leading Democratic candidates.

Because I am so rushed, I apologize if this post has typos galore, as I do not have time to proof read.

Edwards Dominates Rasmussen Polling in October

Mon Oct 29, 2007 at 10:33:28 AM PDT

Add October to the list.  Edwards has outperformed Clinton and Obama in Rasmussen general election polling (and most general election polling) since the race began, and this month is no different.

Why John Edwards Is The Most Electable Democrat

Thu Oct 04, 2007 at 08:16:00 AM PDT

I had to write and post this in a hurry on my way out the door, but the substance is there for those who want to read it.

Edwards Dominates Republicans In August / September

Mon Oct 01, 2007 at 09:44:52 AM PDT

I usually recap every months's Rasmussen polling.  Because they recently changed their schedule, it made more sense to lump August and September together so that all of the match ups would be polled.

I threw in the Survey USA numbers (so far) just so people could get a comprehensive view of things.

If you are not a big fan of polling related arguments and mumbo jumbo then you are probably going to want to skip down to the numbers, though I do make what I consider to be valid points.

A Response To Jonathan Singer

Fri Sep 28, 2007 at 05:45:11 PM PDT

This is a response to Jonathan Singer's comments made yesterday about John Edwards taking matching funds.  It is cross-posted on MyDD.  Because what I am talking about was the subject of a lot of discussion on numerous blogs yesterday, I felt that it was appropriate to post this here as well.

John Edwards Does It Again

Fri Sep 21, 2007 at 01:26:21 PM PDT

I'm willing to bet that someone has already covered the new Survey USA numbers that show, once again, that John Edwards is by far the most electable Democrat.  If they haven't yet then I am guessing by the time I post this they will have.

This diary is not necessarily about the new numbers, but about the totality of recent general election polling, and what it clearly shows us. I also wanted to deal with some of the myths that will be used to spin these numbers by supporters of other campaigns.

John Edwards In Seattle - Why YOU Should Attend

Fri Sep 14, 2007 at 04:16:49 PM PDT

This diary is about why I think that everyone who is reading this that lives anywhere close to Seattle, Washington should attend the upcoming John Edwards fundraiser.

If you know anybody who lives in the Northwest, please let them know about this event.

And if you don't live near Seattle, but you have the ability to fly out ...then this diary is about why should get on a plane and come to the land of Starbucks and Soundgarden.

Edwards - The REAL, ACTUAL Leader In Head To Head Polls

Wed Sep 05, 2007 at 05:27:30 PM PDT

A few days ago there was yet another diary on Daily Kos that tried to point to Real Clear Politics' general election polling averages as proof that Senator Obama was the most electable Democrat.

I think it was called, "Obama - The REAL Leader In Head To Head Polls"

Clearly the title of this diary is a spoof on the title of the Obama diary.  Pretty soon someone will respond with "Gravel - The REALLY REAL, ACTUAL, Leader In Head To Head Polls...If They Would Include Him."

This is getting out of hand. However, the use of RCP's averages is becoming more prevalent, so I find it necessary to clear this up again.

A Resource For Edwards Supporters

Mon Sep 03, 2007 at 06:16:40 PM PDT

In preparation for a grassroots activism campaign that we (a group of Edwards supporters I work with on some projects) are launching tomorrow, I just updated my information resource blog for Edwards supporters.

John Edwards and Polling Averages

Tue Aug 28, 2007 at 02:44:08 PM PDT

  • A version of this was posted on MyDD yesterday.

I haven't slept in way too long, but I think that this needs to be said. Hopefully, this will be a somewhat coherent diary.  I apologize for any typos ahead of time.
